Getting started
01 / ORGANIZE

Create a library

Start with a library for a project or topic. Add snips with a title, optional description, and labels.

02 / CAPTURE

Add your reference material

Attach media from Photos or Files, or use Camera. SnipSnap indexes recognized text in images and rendered PDF pages for search.

Common questions

Why can’t I use the camera or access photos?

Review SnipSnap’s permissions in the iOS Settings app. SnipSnap also has a Manage Photo Access button in its Settings tab. Device restrictions may limit access.

Why doesn’t search find text in an image?

Text recognition depends on image quality. Try a clear, well-lit image with readable text. Check whether you are searching the current library or all libraries, and clear any label filters.

Does my library sync to another device?

The current version is designed around local libraries. SnipSnap does not provide a cross-device sync service. Device backups are separate and depend on your Apple settings.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual snips or libraries in the app. Deleting a library also deletes its snips and their imported media. Deleting the app removes its local app data; backups are managed separately through your device or backup provider.

The app reports a storage error. What should I do?

Check available device storage, close and reopen SnipSnap, and restart your device. If the issue continues, email support with the exact message. Avoid deleting the app as a troubleshooting step if you need to preserve its local data.

Do I need an account?

The current version of SnipSnap does not require an account.
